- Prepare for Disappointment
Prepare for Disappointment
by Matt Elliott
I only needed a soul
To share to kiss and to hold
But only found this dark hole
Someone unbearably cold
Memories sparkle before eclipse
Profound sadness emerges
Like a delicate waterdrop above a desert
Disappears before it arrives
You closed all windows and doors
Saw me only for my flaws
Those days seem to be declorized
Leading to a bleak destination
Souls are no longer themselves but merely beings
They passby then vanish
You'll never know what you missed
You'll never experience true bliss
Never say never
Because I already know
And I accept the consequence
Not because I am left no choice
Stimulus
Stimulus is a ghost
Occasionally haunting those unsettled
Being hated or thanked between episodes
Stimulus is a reminder
Awaking obsessive lingerers
As if an alarm clock abruptly whispers
Stimulus is also a mirror
Paying smiles a promising future
For it triggers fighting mode of a warrior
Remember, it is a wild world
Forever, let abundant life unfold
